Hello Dolls! I apologize for the lack of posts but our computer was down and we just got it back. The good news is we got some cool posts coming your way! Can I begin with how excited I am for the fall. I know a lot of you are totally into the Summer and all but I am definitely more of a Fall/Winter gal. Even though Winter barely makes it to Cali, it is always fun to tone down the colors and layer up. I kept this look minimal because the skirt did all the talking.

My current fall obsession is HATS. What are some of your favorite fall trends?

Love you guys!

A 'Fair'ytale

Our neighborhood always has small fairs but we never go because not only are they expensive but the rides aren’t all that fun. On our way to dinner we decided to stop by for some quick photos since the scenery is pretty and the lights are vibrant.  One fair we will be going to this year is the LA County Fair, surprisingly we have never gone and we have heard great things about it. We probably won’t be wearing our Sundays Best when we do go.

California has had really nice winter weather but at night it does get a little chilly. We both recently purchased our jackets at H&M during their recent sale. I scored this white coat online for a pretty price as well as another grey jacket you will be seeing soon on the blog. They are both still available! Jesal’s bicker jacket is also very versatile and can be dressed up or down.

Our outfits are a mixture of old items paired with new ones. We both sometimes forget to bring out the old items and dress them up differently, and that’s when “I have nothing to wear” comes out. We are all very guilty but after the holidays and gift spending, it is necessary. This is also a great reminder for people who shop on a budget. We don’t really splurge but if we had to both spend a pretty penny, I think we would both agree that shoes/heels are our only must have items!

We hope you all are having a nice week so far!

P.S. I Love You

Last weekend we attended a family wedding. We had such a great time because you can really learn from other couples on what love is. Love is something different to everyone else. It’s a beautiful thing to see a couple join as one and take each other for good or bad.

I decided to wear a leather dress from H&M (only $15), some strappy heels from Lola Shoetique, and of course my outfit wouldn’t be complete without my signature red lip!
We went to H&M to try and find something to wear because we weren’t sure of what to wear for a winter wedding in California. We both went for a simple and chic look and wore black. Jesal decided to pick up a red skinny tie for a pop of color and wore some amazing pair of Monk-Strap shoes.
Love always seems to be in the air, we like to believe that when you find that special someone you just know. One thing we have learned about love is that you can’t rush it. It’s something that takes time and patience. It’s always a work in progress. In December we completed our 7 year anniversary!!! We couldn’t be more happy and excited to start another year together because not only are we a team, but we truly are sole mates.

We hope you all had an amazing New Year!

A Little Get Away

When I was a kid, it was a tradition to go back to Cd. Guzman, Mexico in October to celebrate the "Fiestas de Octubre". The celebration lasts for 19 days leading up to a finally of a huge, heavy wooden platform carrying the statues of the Patron Saint – St. Joseph holding el NiƱo Jesus – and the Virgin Mary. I bought my ticket last minute and packed everything the night before, here is what I wore on my 6 days in Mexico.

I fell in love with these printed maxi dresses from Charlotte Russe because the cut and details are amazing. You can find them on their website Here and Here!
I decided to keep it simple with dresses as well as a leather jacket and flats or sandals. Flats came in handy because there is a lot of walking. My main accessory was the black hat that I purchased at forever 21. Because of the climate, my hair wasn’t working with me so I found it very convenient to throw on the hat. I kept my makeup also very light because it was still warm in Mexico. The green and purple maxi dresses where both purchased from Charlotte Russe and the two red dresses are from H&M.

I hope you all enjoyed!

Having Fashion Week in Los Angeles this past week was a amazing experience. We got the chance to attend that grand opening of The Left Shoe Company store in West Hollywood. This was one of a few events that we attended, and we must say we had such a great time drinking wine and checking out all of their great shoes.
My beautiful fiance wore this lovely black dress and accessorized it with gold jewelry and an awesome clutch.

The event was a really great experience for us because we got to mingle with the creative minds of The Left Shoe Company and other local bloggers. They were also offering a chance to get custom made- to-measure footwear. Another local designer was also offering the chance to get a Bespoke suit.

This was our first but definitely one of the best events from our busy Fashion Week. We are truly grateful to be apart of the fashion scene we have here in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. Blogging has really opened up doors for us and taught us many things. One of the best things it has done is help us creat friendships and meeting really unique, open minded, creative people that we now call friends.
