Lady in Red

I usually wear red as a pop of color. A bold signature red lip is usually my go to but this time I wanted to switch it up. I don’t understand why but my eyes usually refer the color red to Valentine’s Day or Christmas, am I the only one? I think I liked this dress because that’s not what came to my head when I saw it on display.  I instantly thought it would go great with a leather jacket, jean vest, or dressed up with jewels and accessories.

What She's Wearing
Red Maxi Dress: H&M (Similar Here)
Accessories: Forever 21 & H&M
Head Chain: Down Town LA (Buy Here or Here with my 10% off promo code: KBT10)

I decided to have a little fun with this number from H&M by pairing it with a head chain for a more playful look. The great thing with this dress is that it can easily be dressed up or down.

The head chain is such a fun accessory also seen on Nicole Richie and other famous style icons. There are some that are dainty and look very boho chic and there are some that are very dramatic. For the summer we will be seeing more head chains and flower crowns, it will definitely be the cherry on top of a cute outfit!  Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, first we need to get through Spring!

Lost Without You

Love is definitely in the air today but for us its everyday…well mostly everyday! Let’s be honest, we’re only human and nothing is perfect in life. One thing is for sure, when we love, we love hard. We have had our fair share of ups and downs and sometimes barely make it out of a storm. Our long time friendship, respect, and love has kept us together for 7 years and still going strong.

This time we really wanted to shoot together because it is rare when we get the chance. Blogging has been like our baby, we work together as a team to nurture it and we spend time together taking pictures and creating ideas. We will admit, it has taught us a lot about each other. That’s the most interesting part of all this. When you’re in love or in a relationship, you never stop growing and learning from each other.

We are still very playful with each other and we still make an effort to stay interested in each other. We would have to say the key to a long lasting relationship is friendship, trust, and laughter…after all we did meet each other in a bouncy house!
There’s always those great parts in a relationship when one already knows what the other is thinking, when you walk out of the house in the same outfit, or just as simple as being able to be yourself without being scared. Relationships are work but in the long run, at the end of the day, being happy is all that matters.

Happy Valentine's Day!

XOXO

This Valentine’s Day is on a Friday and I wanted to show you all how to style one dress with two completely different outfits. As I mentioned in our last post, this dress is very versatile and can be worn in so many ways. For my second V Day outfit I wanted to dress up more for a dinner outing or a night out with some girlfriends.

Floral Dress: G Stage (Similar Here)
Burgundy Fringe Clutch: Target (Here)
Nude Pumps: Forever 21 (Similar Here)
By simply adding a clutch and some nude pumps this dress is automatically transformed. I would also change up the lip color or add some simple eye shadow.
Valentine’s Day is much more than romance, flowers, and gift exchanging, I believe it’s more about the people around you that you love such as family and close friends. It doesn’t have to be about boyfriends/ girlfriends and the cliché romance. I am lucky enough to have an amazing man in my life and supportive family. We should show our loved ones everyday how much we love them, not just on holidays.
We would love to know what your plans are this Valentine’s Day, feel free to comment below!

Crazy in Love

SURPRISE...I have bangs now! A girl needs change once in a while. Don’t be afraid to comment below and tell me what you think. Okay, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and personally I always have a hard time figuring out what to wear. Yes we can go for the girly and flirty look but why do what everyone else is doing? I decided to switch it up this year and do something a little different for you all. I wanted to wear a floral dress but wanted to keep it chic and edgy. What better way than to add some leather into the mix!
Floral Dress: G Stage (Similar Here)
Faux Leather Jacket: H&M (Similar Here)
Stay Social Black Heels: Lola Shoetique (Here)
Black Bag: H&M (Similar Here)
I have been seeing celebrities like Kim K wearing similar styles to these amazing booties from Lola Shoetique. As a matter of fact they reminded me of some beautiful Jimmy Choo’s but without the price tag! I honestly felt really chic and still girly wearing the heels with a floral dress. Later I will show you a different way you can style this dress from G Stage.
I wanted to let you all in on some tips I have for shopping. A secret I have for shopping and buying clothes is buying pieces that you can style in different ways.  I will confess now, I have worn this dress 5 times already since I purchased it because this style dress and print is versatile. The dress cost only $12 at G Stage and it’s flattering and trendy. Another secret I have is not buying right away, go home and sleep on it, if you still want it the next day… go buy it!

Make sure to check back next week to see a sexier and simpler way we can style this dress for Valentine’s Day.

Wild Child

He's Wearing
Trench Coat: 21Men (Similar Here)
Leopard Short Sleeve: 21Men (Similar Here)
Distressed Denim: H&M (Similar Here)
Chelsea Boots: H&M (Similar Here)
Winter in California is never predictable. For this look I was able to bring out my trench coat that I bought last year for a very Rock & Roll chic look. I don't have many jackets in  my closet but the few I do have are very versatile like this one.
I usually don't wear loud prints like this but I do love leopard. Lately I have taken a very minimalist approach to my wardrobe but I do enjoy throwing in a bold print into the mix. If there's one animal print you guys want to give a shot. I would say leopard is very bold but still classy.

These Black Chelsea boots have been my go to shoes lately. The fact that boots were on sale made it easier for me to purchase them. Aside from the beauty and versatility of the Chelsea Boot they look great with everything from a suit to a more casual look like this one.
