Black Dahlia

I will admit, that I was very intimidated to wear  leather shorts…actually leather anything! I always felt like if I didn’t wear them correctly I was going to look like a beat up biker babe or some crazy dominatrix person. The only kind of leather I would attempt to wear was a leather jacket or vest until my friend Angela convinced me to go out and buy some faux leather shorts.

Black and White Sheer Print Cardigan: Forever 21 (Similar Here)
Black Bustier: G Stage (Similar Here)
Black Faux Leather Shorts: H&M (Similar Here)
Nude Heels: Forever 21 (Here)
Accessories: Forever 21 & Jewelry Holics (Here & Here)

That said, I practically lived in these leather shorts this summer and will continue to over use them this fall and winter.  Not only are they trendy, they can be dressed up or down which is extremely important for a person like me who is always on the go.
Since then, I’ve been paring these shorts with everything! Dressed up with heels and blazer and dressed down with tee shirts and flats. In my advice, I suggest you keep it minimal with one pop of color  in your top or a bold necklace or even bold lips. I kept this outfit simple with nude heels and a bold lip.

Sporty Spice

Who would’ve known Mel C AKA Sporty Spice knew that the sporty trend was cool all along. I must say I was a big fan of the Spice Girls growing up but Sporty Spice was not my favorite because I didn’t like her outfits. My opinion has changed completely after seeing some amazing pieces on the runways for this Spring.

Varsity Tee-Shirt: Forever 21 (Here)
Grey Sweat Shorts: H&M (Similar Here)
Two-Tone Heels: Go Jane (Similar Here)
Statement Necklace: Forever 21 (similar Here)
Knuckle Rings: H&M (Here)
I am really excited that the “sporty chic” trend is going to be huge this Spring because it gives me a chance to step outside of my comfort zone. Looking for some athletic inspiration, I looked through some of my blogger crushes’ instagrams and websites. I noticed that in order to pull this look off you must dress it up.
A few pointers I have for channeling your sporty outfits is to first find an affordable and edgy top with number patches. Make sure that either the top you decide to wear  is fitted and the bottoms are loose or vice versa.  Mix feminine with tomboy by adding a statement necklace, earrings, or rings. I would’ve even added a leather baseball cap if I was going to be out in the sun. Have fun with it! I’m going to challenge myself this Spring to see how many different ways I can wear this shirt, keep a look out for that.

Classic Baroque

She's Wearing
Baroque Print Dress: H&M (Similar Here)
Teal Suede Heels: Zara (Similar Here)
Gold Earrings: Forever 21 (Similar Here)
Cheetah Bangle: Vintage (Similar Here)
Baroque fashion is a popular trend that can be traced back to the 16th century. The European style can easily be dressed up or down. In my opinion, the way to wear baroque is by keeping your look simple, balanced, and modern.

I bought this dress from H&M a while ago but couldn’t decide how I wanted to wear it. I felt it was a tricky statement piece to wear and I knew I wanted to look sophisticated. I decided to keep it feminine by pairing these Zara teal heels as my pop of color.
So as you all may know by now, Zara had their annual sale and I bought these beautiful suede heels for a great price. These are definitely a great color to add to any black and white outfit or any outfit you really want to add some color to. I’m going to have fun styling these babies this summer.

Thank you for stopping by!

Wild Flowers

She's Wearing
Pink Dress: G Stage (Similar Here)
Floral Kimono: DTLA (Exact Here)
White Gladiator Sandals: Rhapsodielle (Similar Here)
White Belt: H&M (Similar Here)
Gold Necklace: Cotton On (similar Here)

Floral has to be my favorite print of all time because it can be used all year round, especially during the Summer. It’s a great way to accessorize a simple outfit or can be the focal point.
Gladiator sandal heels are the talk of the Summer, these were a lucky find at a local boutique. I also have these in black because they are conformable and very trendy.
A lot of our blogger crushes are starting to show their versatility using floral prints. It can be paired with stripes, pop of colors, or denims. We really feel that it gives a refreshed and polished Summer feel to any outfit. Kimonos are very fun to throw on over a dress, shorts and a tee, or jeans. I will probably live in this Kimono during this hot Summer.

We decided to team up with Canadian style duo Katherine from ourMode to bring you all a floral collaboration. We love how Katherine paired stripes with the beautiful top and the way she used pink as pop of color. For her outfit details, please make sure to check out their website.

About a couple weeks ago we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Kristi of KristiXOXO . We decided meet up and have dinner at Sol Y Luna on Ventura Blvd. We shared some great stories and had some amazing food.
Kristi is by far the nicest blogger we have met yet, she is beautiful inside and out and is very humble about what she does.
It was fun to connect with a very stylish and smart local person and we cant wait to do it again.

Every Rose Has It's Thorn

 She's Wearing
Black Cat Eye Shades: DTLA (Similar Here: Here)
Black Bustier Top: G STage (Similar Here)
Floral Print Blazer: Forever 21 (Similar Here)
Woven Skater Skirt: G Stage (Here)
Black Alexa Heels: Lola Shoetique (Here)
Gold Necklace: Forever 21 (Similar Here)
I decided to pair this beautiful floral print blazer with a simple black and white ensemble. I have been contemplating on this bustier trend with a skirt because of my body type but I decided to just go with it. When I put outfits together, I experiment with prints and trends to match my body type.

I fell in love with these heels from Lola Shoetique because they are identical to the heels from Zara but at half the price. I decided keep it simple and accessorize a gold necklace to compliment the gold detail on the heel.
Did anyone notice my tattoos? There are always stories behind tattoos and I will share mine with you. Jesal and I have matching tattoos on our shoulder of our birthdays. The ink was not to prove anything to anyone, just to show each other our love for one another. I also have a green elephant on my right wrist to represent my grandmother who has already passed away.  She believed elephants bring good luck and she used to collect them and decorated her home with them. It is a beautiful memory I will always hold in my heart.

Thank you for letting me share that with you all and I hope that you all liked my outfit as much as I did.

Eat or Be Eaten

 She's Wearing
Sunglasses: Ray Bans (Similar Here)
Lipstick: Ruby Woo (My Fav, Here)
Necklace: H&M (Similar Here)
Cheetah Graphic Dress: H&M (ONLY $10 Here)
Red Coral Jacket: BCBG (Gifted, Similar Here)
Black and Gold Studded Clutch: Marshall's (Similar Here)
Cocktail Party Heels: Lola Shoetique (Here)
Ladies, I love these heels from Lola Shoetique! At first I was eying similar sandals by Jeffrey Campbell but at $125 they were a bit too pricey. These heels are comfortable and trendy at a fraction of the cost
DON'T get me started on this fabulous dress from H&M, it looks better in person. My favorite part about this dress is that it was only $10! I decided to pair it with this bright red coral jacket for a pop of color and a gold necklace to give it a fierce vibe.
I wore this outfit on Saturday to go shopping with Jesal and then decided not to change my outfit for drinks with our beautiful friend, who is also a blogger, Terry. I like creating outfits that can transition from day to night because we get busy and its super convenient.

We hope you enjoyed this post!
